Hey everyone.  We are here in China.  We left on Wednesday from Indy and arrived in Beijing, China on Thursday around 3pm.  It was a really long flight but we survived it.  Friday morning at 9am we were picked up by our guide and we began our day of touring Beijing.  Our first stop was the Great Wall.  We had no idea that it would take 2+hours to get there.  The traffic in a city of 21 million people is pretty wild.  I was pretty nervous at first but soon came to realize our guide had it under control. Here are a few pics from the Great Wall
This is our guide John.  We loved him.  He was very easy to talk to and so smart.
After the Great Wall we stopped for a traditional Chinese meal.  John asked us if we liked fish.  We said yes and he said ok do you want to go and look at them.  We thought sure that will be fun.  A lady that worked at the restaurant followed us out.  She grabbed a net and got a fish out of the little pond.  It flopped out of the net and landed on the stairs we were standing on.  Keith held it in place with his shoe.  The lady came and got the fish and it was part of our lunch.  It took us a while to catch on to the fact that we were picking out which fish we wanted to eat;)  The food really wasn't that bad but different than what Americans would traditionally eat.

We also made a stop at snack street.  These are some of the delicious things you can have to eat.  We weren't brave enough to try them but we thought it was really interesting to look at all of the things people will eat.

While in Beijing we also saw an acrobatic show and drove by many other sights including the Birds Nest (where the 2008 Olympics were held), and Tianneman square.

We took an overnight train last night to Nanchang where we currently are.  The train ride wasn't to bad at all.  We had our own bunk beds to sleep in.  I slept off and on the whole night.  We arrived in Nanchang around 8am this morning.  Our guide picked us up at the train station and the first thing she told us was that she moved up our Gotcha day to today.  In 16 minutes from now I should be holding my baby.  We can't wait.  I will post some pics once we get him and we have a few free minutes.

Maggie, Connor, and Sam we miss you guys so much and can't wait to face time you in the morning so you can meet your brother.  Love you all!
