Our 4th day in China/October 19th

I should most certainly be sleeping now.  I have been up since before 2am.  I am not sure if its just jet lag or pure excitement but I am so awake right now I couldn't begin to sleep.

 We didn't have anything on our schedule today so we just took our time today.  We got up and went downstairs to the restaurant in our hotel and enjoyed the breakfast buffet.  It was pretty good and had some foods that I actually recognized.  That was a bonus!! After that we decided to go explore.  We came across a kids clothing store that looked so cute. I bought B a couple of sweaters and we went on our way.  Our next stop was a department store called RT Mart.  Kind of like Wal-Mart.  We bought the kids a few things and then headed to McDonalds.  Brennan had his first french fry and he was a big fan.  He is a big fan of most things in the food dept.  Then we headed back to the hotel for a little rest.

I don't think I mentioned this yet but you should see the looks we get.  You know how if your kids are staring and pointing at someone you will say don't stare that is rude.  That kind of thing.  Well the Chinese people are very different in that manner.  They stare and point a lot! It is just part of their culture.  We like to think they are probably just saying that is the cutest baby they have ever seen;)  Its a little unnerving though bc you know everyone is looking at you all the time!

After our rest we decided to head to Wal-Mart and eat at Papa Johns for supper.  Brennan also loves pizza.  Imagine that;) The walk is pretty long getting there and by the time we got back B had fallen asleep in his stroller.  He woke up though and took a bath and went right to bed like a good boy.

He is really coming out of his shell and his personality is just shining through.  He seems so smart too  I brought a book for him to look at.  Its just a book that has pics of animals in it and you can feel the fur on the animals.  I never dreamed he would love it like he does.  I showed him how to take your index finger and feel the animals fur and he loves doing that.  I bet he spent an hour looking at the book and feeling the animals.  It was adorable,

When I had sent a care package to him a while back I sent him a toy phone.  He must have really liked it and someone must have shown him what to do with it bc he saw the remote to the TV and picked it up and put it to his ear and was saying something along the lines of hello.  We were like OMG this child is a genius.:) Then he figured out that pushing the buttons on the remote would turn the TV off and on and he did that like a hundred times.  We ended up having to call someone and have them fix our TV after that bc the remote wouldn't do anything by the time he was done with it.  Oh well it was pretty entertaining while it was going on.

 These didn't come out quite in the order I wanted them to but here is B sleeping in the RT mart.  He loves wearing his hat.  I didn't think he would keep it on but he wears it alot.

 Here he is pretending the remote is a phone.  It totally caught us off guard. He is really so smart  Keith was like do you think maybe we were supposed to come and get him bc  he is supposed to do something really big someday?  Maybe he will.  We think the sky is the limit.  If he stays an average Joe like the rest of us who cares.  He has already done something huge.  He has changed our hearts forever.  When I looked at Maggie, Connor, and Sam before I left I was thinking my heart is so full of love already I can't possibly have room for anything more.  God knew better;)

 This was while we were waiting on the elevator.  He loves this toy hammer.  He hits Keith with it all the time and laughs.  It is too funny!!!

 This was right before bed.  Alison Gish we are loving his blanket.  He has used it everyday all the time.

This is what I am looking at right now.  Absolute perfection,  Our son who is so loved by so many.

Maggie, Connor, and Sam we love you and are counting down the days till we can see you and kiss your cheeks again.  It will be here so soon;)
